Thursday we took a trip to the zoo.
There was a cool breeze, the sun was shining and there were no crowds.
The little girls were able to run and play.
The big kids enjoyed teaching the little kids about the animals
they were seeing.
We got there at feeding time, so the animals were lively.
Ben checking out the tiger.
She was a very big girl!
Rachel thought the tigress was a very BIG girl
and that she was very close to the fence.
We loved all of the bamboo.
We have decided to plant some in the back yard.
Mary- " LOOK! It's a ZeeVRa!"
We decided that we wanted Peacocks, too.
Mary enjoying the view.
Rachel modeling for Mom.
The Wild Bunch!
Mary and Ben thought this Totem was Cool.
Looking for the Gators.
Found them!
Hissing Female!
She was loud. The kids knew what was going on.
Thank you , Crocodile Hunter!
The male was hiding in the bush.
He was a Big one.
That looks so fun! We are headed to the zoo next week too.
ReplyDeletelove themall! great shots. You know how we love the zoo!:)
ReplyDeleteSuch a groovy mama you are to take the kids to the zoo!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of all the fun - love the one of Rachel scared of the tiger!! :) I like how Mary says "Zeevra". Heehee!
I must also say that I am very impressed by your "big kids" taking care of the little kids so responsibly. Are they homeschooled??? :)
xoxo
looks fun! and how sweet that your oldest is so nurturing to the little ones! awwww!
ReplyDeletea note about bamboo--- it can become VERY invasive and take over everything. also it can splinter and be sharp/painful/dangerous if the kids step on it, etc. we LOVE bamboo and planted it last year, but our landscaper told us to rip it out ASAP. i have heard the clumping variety is okay. just passing along what we were told! :)
Such a cool place, and what a cool bunch of kids!
ReplyDeleteAll I need is your address and I'll send you the apples!
God bless!
