Thursday found us on highway 59, headed for Covington, GA.
Jae Bar Tad has officially retired, and we are in search of a cutting horse for Caleb.
Bob, Allie, and Lola were at the barn waiting for Uncle Rick to
pull up in the truck and trailer.
Hannah looks pretty chipper- even though it was
6:30 in the morning.
Caleb was giving Hannah all of the reasons that he should
be able to sit in the front seat( during the trip).
Uncle Rick taking a call in his "Office".
Caleb and Rick playing checkers in the Cracker Barrel.
Yes! We LOVE Cracker Barrel!
So much that Hannah can win at the "Peg Game"
ALMOST every time.
Hannah had the camera.
Enjoying the ride.
Caleb and his newest Forensics Pathology set.
He wants to be a M.D. on the Forensics Pathology
team for the FBI.........
Or a Missionary.
Go figure.
A 3 year old Paint Horse stud, at the farm of Ronnie Hodge.
Mr. Ronnie Hodge.
Super Cool guy and "Cutter Extraordinaire".
We loved him and his family.
Just meeting them made the trip "productive".
The guys watching Mr. Ronnie's granddaughter, Hannah, work a horse .
Caleb trying out Horse #1.
Yes!
That is a BUFFALO CALF!
Caleb trying out Horse #2.
A good lookin' Palomino named 'Commander'.
Caleb trying out Horse #3.
A five year old Grey mare.
She is a sweety and Caleb loved her.
We thought that she might be the ONE, until Ronnie quoted us
his 'rock bottom" price of $15,000.00!
Too much to spend for a horse for a 15 year old , who has
3 more years of rodeo'n.
We are hoping that he will still have her in December, so we
can make him an offer.
So we headed back.
6 hours later, we were home.
The kids said that they had a good time, so maybe it was worth the trip...............
Maybe.
Peace.
