What You See Is What You Get

Thursday found me in Birmingham, Alabama-
Home-base to our adoption agency, LifeLine Children's Services.

I made the trip alone.
I spent 4 driving hours listening to the radio
station I liked and singing as loud as I could--usually off key, but no one
could hear me.

I got a few funny looks from truck drivers, though. I guess they are not used
to 39 year olds doing the"Honk Your Horn" thing.
I don't get it...It worked when I was 6.

Anyway, I get there and I meet the China SN program director-Karla.
Cute as a button and Soooooo sweet.

Actually , they were ALL perky and sweet.

The chicks at the desk in the front office were sweet......
The SN director was sweet......
This dude came into the kitchen smiling and humming like he was
the main character in an Old Disney Movie.......
I caught the glance of some lady sitting at a desk while I was coming
out of the bathroom...Smiling... polite greeting........

Happy, Happy Place- which made me Happy, Happy to be there.

So many times you will walk into a "Christian" book store ,
a"Christian" coffee shop, even a"Christian" school and you do
not feel LOVE.

LifeLine talks the talk and walks the walk.

Suddenly, I was thankful to God for the long and winding road that lead us
here.

2 years ago we could not imagine using any other agency than the one we
used when adopting Mary...but here we are.

If you are looking into adoption or have been lead to bring a child home-
Check these guys out. Their link is on my side bar.

You will not be disappointed.

Very Cool.

No news on the boys, but the thought is that it might make
it easier to get something done once we are logged in.

I had to order new Birth certificates and Marriage Lic.
They were stamped in '06 and Karla was afraid the consulate
would deny them, even though our Auth. and Not. was in March 08.

I am hoping to be DTC at the end of the month, or at least be
the first week in August.

Not as fast as I had hoped , as I am sure someone else has sent
letters asking to adopt these boys ,as well.

But that's O.K.

Maybe the Lord just used the image of these boys to get me
off my butt, so that we could be ready when our baby comes.

Maybe not.......We'll see.

Peace.
