What I Am Reading.......

Spirited Child Inventory

*** When energy was given out, your child got an extra portion.

*** The word No is considered a challenge, not an answer.

*** Whatever your child is doing, he/she is very intense.

*** Your child does not understand what it means to ADAPT.

*** Your child is a natural-born debater.

*** What ever is the norm for most children, your child is more.

*** Your child resists schedules-bedtime, mealtime, and routines.

*** Your child gives a new meaning to the word persistence.

*** Your child is sensitive to sounds, sights, textures, foods, and so on.

*** Your child often loses his/her temper.

*** Your child seems to try to deliberately annoy people.

*** Your child often refuses to comply with your rules or requests.

Now take the survey and scale your child on a scale from 1 to 10.

1 being "Not My Child" and 10 being " Oh, yeah! That's my kid!"

If your child's score is under 50, you probably have a very cooperative child.

If your child's score is between 70 and 80, You probably recognize your little
angel in the title of the book. You should purchase it. You will love it.

If your child's score is above 80, well the book suggests that you read the book
AND find other parents with spirited children and form a support group.....
Your going to need it!

Rachel Kate's score ...70!

Not that this is surprising to me.

I actually read this book for the first time,
when she was 2 1/2.

Now that Mary Elizabeth has started to follow Rachel
around and mimic her every move, I thought I'd read it again...
Just to be safe.

If anyone else thinks it might be a good idea to read it,too..

  6. You are so funny...'diggin the green' I am laughing out loud! I have to make sure i tell B you said that. I love the way you talk!

I also love the way you read all these great books!! My motehr in law was just talking about my sister in laws 4 yr old boy. He dumped a gator aid on his cousin, just to be friendly and slowly pinched her(grandma) unitl it gets hard enough for her to have to do something about. He has boxed my husbands ears and it hurt so much, he is having trouble forgiving him...a 4 yr old!! ahah No one know what to do! Where does he even get this stuff?/ Boxing ears. I have read that from the 1800's but never knew anyone who did it!

Anyway....hope you all have a great weekend!!!!!!!
