This is Belle the Bloodhound!
She is a gift to Caleb from his Uncle Ricky!
She has already started to howl and bark at
everything in sight.
Lovely......
She should fit right in with the 5 Kids, the Basset Hound, the Collie,
2 Corgis, 11 Cats, 3 Roosters, 4 Goldfish, 8 Horses and 2 Ponies.
She is kinda cute, though.
Maybe I can teach her to bark when the toddler sneaks out
the back door!
This might just work out after all.

ReplyDeleteDo you take care of your horses yourself? My hubby keeps telling me that I have no idea how much work it would be to own a horse. Of course I want one anyway!

ReplyDeleteWe do take care of them ourselves.
They are not so much work. Basically its like being a mom to a 4- legged kid that eats A LOT!
There are some basic rules for feeding and stuff. But I don't think it is any harder than owning any other animal. The upkeep is a little pricey, but a lot of towns have stables where you can board and ride your own animal...So that makes it kinda nice.:) All the fun, none of the work!
All of our horses are really sweet. We have what we call the shot-gun test. Basically , if you could fire off a shotgun and it wouldn't take off runnin'... We buy it.:) The only kind I would recommend around little ones.
I hope you do get your horse. You sound like a Cowgirl, for sure!
