This year's Mother-Daughter tea was held at the Century House.

Our Homeschooling Association sponsors this wonderful outing & it is something
that we all look forward to.

This year Rachel was old enough to go.
You have to be at least 5 years old to attend
and since she was going to have her 5th birthday
(3 days after the party) the coordinator slipped her in.
I don't know who had more fun- Rachel or
Hannah and me watching Rachel.
She took in every sight and sound,
and was thrilled to be having tea with the big girls.
This is old hat to Hannah and the girls.
They decided that we should do this every month.
Rachel drank her tea like a little lady and tasted everything from
each of the 3 courses.
I was very proud of her.
These two could be having tea at the White House with Mensa
and they would STILL clown.
Some of the Mom's helping the little ones pour.
This house has some if the neatest mirrors .
Precious little things.
It was a wonderful day.
We can't wait until next year.
The next day we had a birthday party.
Rachel's North Pole Birthday Party!
When I asked her what that was supposed to look like ,
she said, "Ya Know...like you go and eat at Santa's house."
How easy was that?
10 kids, sugar, glitter, presents, cake, and reindeer-
Viola! Eating at Santa's House.
Happy Little Guest of Honor.
Mary Elizabeth with Ice-Cream Mouth.
She was working on her 2nd cup.
It is a good thing our best friend is a dentist.
She loves sugar sooooo much.
If it weren't for him, she probably wouldn't have
a tooth left in her head.
Opening the gifts!
Sleeping Beauty loot from Aunt Su Su!
American Girl Doll from the American Girl Store in Chicago
Compliments of ABP & CarCar.
After the guest went home and the dust settled we let Rachel pick out
a spot for dinner.
We headed out to the Chinese Place and then hit the
Books-A-Million!
A good time was had by all!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
RACHEL KATE!
We Love You!
Peace.

andrea,
ReplyDeletei wanted to add another comment! :) the picture of you is beautiful, as others have commented. which is of no surprise because you are gorgeous! but, what struck me was that in this picture i see a resemblance between you and caleb!! could that be?!
also, i realized i didn't comment on your last couple of posts, but i did read them! the christmas wish question was too hard for me to answer. there is so much that i yearn for in this broken world. my answer would be too sad, too long, and too cliche. ...that there would be peace on earth, no empty tummies, that everyone would have love and be loved, that there would be no disease, that every person would experience the love of jesus. to name a few...
i am sorry that you didn't get snow. i am sure it must have been disappointing. we are heading to WI for christmas and if we get sub-zero temps, but no snow we will be sorely disappointed! :)
xoxo,,

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tea room! What a wonderful idea to mention to our HS group!! I am glad you guys had fun. You all look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on the party too. I am sure Rachel had a glorious day!
Ya'll are all so sweet!
ReplyDeleteRachel- Yep! don't let the blond hair fool ya! Caleb is the spitting image of my brother , David- who, by the way ,looks just like my grandfather.
I like your wish. It is not depressing at all. I thought the question was cool because it really stops you in your tracks. You only get one. How do you decide?
I hope you guys have see snow and I really hope that you get lots of pictures.
I wish you guys lived closer. I miss ya'll.
No Dan, that is not the internet crime ring talking...I'm serious!
xoxo,
A
