Hannah wants to rodeo this year.
Big step for a little girl who really didn't care to RIDE a horse 2 years ago.
So the process of elimination starts.
Uncle Rick finds a horse - Kid rides the horse - Horse doesn't work out-
Uncle Rick finds another horse - Kid rides another horse.....You get the idea.
This is MAGIC.
Magic is a favorite around here. He belongs to a friend of ours and
stayed with us for a few months, in the spring.
Hannah loves him.
She wants to buy Magic and show him this year, so of course, she had to "try him out" first.
These are shots of Hannah cutting a few cows from the herd.
The next few shots are pictures of *What we were doing at 9 a.m. this morning*.

At about 7:30 p.m.(last night), Hannah was cutting her last cow.
The cow and horse moved left....and Hannah moved right!
Her very first fall from a horse.
The result? A broken wrist.
Luckily for Hannah, we have easy 'EMERGENCY ROOM' access.
We were in and out with an ice-pack , a splint, pain meds, and an appointment with Ortho for a cast in the A.M.
After we got home last night, her Uncle Rick called to see how she was.
Hannah's first question was," Can I have the horse, or not?"
...............and people wonder why I have gray hair?
Peace.
OH My! What a way to end the night. I have had one of my girls break their elbow bone from going on a zip line. Never a dull moment, indeed!
ReplyDeleteit gives me gray hair just thinking about it! so....does she get the horse, or not???!!
ReplyDeletetell her she looks pretty in pink!
and let me know when baby boot camp starts so i can make my reservations!
BTW...where is the photo of YOU???? we want to see the results of all of your hard work.
Tish-
ReplyDelete*Daddy and Uncle Rick say that she needs to ride at least 3 more, before she makes up her mind. If she still wants him, we'll get him for her. She really did a great job right up until she took the 'Header'. She just lost her focus for a second. That is a No-No, when you are on a horse!
*I am going to wait until the 15th(on the picture). I am REALLY hoping to hit the 30, but it is not looking good..........
I really like cake.
*The 'baby boot camp' can be anytime you want, but if you wait until the weather is cooler...we can teach him to go to the potty.
Country boys get to tee-tee outside!
:)
A
cool cast!!!!
ReplyDeleteTotally off topic, but what is the age of your youngest son? I have a reason and would email you but I can't find your email address.
Hannah seems like one cool chick...and so does her mama!
ReplyDeleteoh dear! she looks happy enough, though - what a little darlin'!
ReplyDeleteHannah was looking good cutting...sorry about the arm. Tell her to milk it for all it's worth like she did when she was 3! Love yall! "miss" W
ReplyDeleteWell, Andrea...Looking at the ER pictures, I see some striking family genes just busting at the seams in little Miss Hannah. Momma, Daddy and cousin Lindsey...why she's a trooper...and she'll be right back in the saddle again! I say she gets the horse!
ReplyDeleteBummer about the arm.. ouch. One a positive note, sweet cast.

Oh man... thank goodness you knew it was broken though... I went through too many fingers and toes where my parents were...oh no, that's not broken! Yeah ma and pa... when did you go to med school?! Your little one sure does seem happy with her cast/war wound.. of course the pain meds didn't do it. ;0) Ah, she is a toughy! Poor mama Andrea... my mama with her ten can relate; I'm still minor league still. Love, =0) Sara
