TO MY DEAREST SARAH

BEFORE

AFTER

I had a basket of things that didn't make the cut.......
which included my BLACK SHOES(SOB)..but I am trying to
remember that I am going to China and NOT Milan.

There is a problem, though:

These things are heavy.

Stacy seems to think that I am going to be stressed and exhausted by the time we leave Meridian and he doesn't want me lugging a 40 pound carry-on around 5 different airports,

so he is voting that we check my bag and pack a few things for us and the baby and he carry's that bag and the computer/document bag and I just carry my sling and (as he puts it)"my pretty little self".

A few more days like the one I had today - and I am going to agree with him.

So we may be 2 carry-ons and 1 small checked.....

Either way it is 5 less bags than we took last time...so that's cool.

And I promise we will post the whole time.

You guys are going to experience the comedic stylings of Stacy .

He did all of the posting last time and he was hilarious.

I really do dig him.

  1. YAY! I yelled for Kevin to come see. Kevin says, "Wow." Then he says... and I quote, "Remember this for next time." Did you hear that, girlfriend? NEXT TIME he says.

Kevin came down with carpel tunnel after hauling our bags home from Taiwan. And figuring out what was making his hand numb cost us several thousand dollars of specialist copays, x-rays, MRIs, and nerve testing. Ug.

What I'm really diggin' are those little shoes with peace signs for his kissable feet. Can't wait until you get home and he gets his first pair of cowboy boots. :) My next photo request is for cowboy boots and diapers photos.

  4. CHELLEY!
    They ARE about to explode.
You are looking at a woman who can pack 2 adults and 5 children for 2 weeks in Disney World in 1 Large Hartman bag and 2 carry - ons.
The carry -ons are for Toiletries, hairdryers and first aid stuffs.

    SARAH-
    NEXT TIME!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!
I told you, man. Kids are addictive!
You know he is already thinking about that boy!

    Rebecca-
    Stacy is the funniest thing.
last time we went to this shop and this little girl held up the PEACE sign for her picture and Stacy's quote was" Here a shop-owner shows us the number of children she will be able to put through college after a visit from Andrea."
    He's messed up.

  5. Sorry, A, I'm not letting you off the hook. You said carry-on only and I'm holding you to it! You better get to the gym and beef up! hahaha!

okay, i GUESS one small checked bag is fine... as long as it's small! :)

can't wait to read stacy's blog posts.

    so, so excited for you!

  6. OK, now I feel like a shmuck for being here in Disney with 3 checked bags and at least 5 carry-ons. You need to teach a class or somehting. How can you possibly pack for all those kids here for two weeks in ONE suitcase? That doesn't even seem possible!!!! What am I missing?

Can't wait to "meet" Stacy! I'm so psyched, and will keep checking in to see how it all goes. Praying you head out on Wednesday!!!!

    Love!

  7. Jenna-HA! LOL!
    2 words for you...LAUNDRY MAT.
We use the laundry-mat in the DOLPHIN(the only place at Disney with enough beds in one room for us)!
I only pack for 4 days and then they are wearing one outfit so that is actually 5 days and then we wash.
We have a large Hartman. My & Stacy's stuff go on the left,The Boy's and Mary's Go on the right,The Hannah and Rachels go in the middle, the gallon ziploc bags(socks, underwear, and bathing suits for each person) lay on the top. Everyone travels in tennis shoes and the flip flops go in the zip compartment in the front.
School books go in a pull carry-on.
Each kid brings a back pack with their favorite books, pens, paper DS,blanket, teddy etc.
1 small bag for toiletries, hair dryer, first aid kit,& meds.

    That's it.
    OH..except for the cooler.
We take organic fruit,Organic milk, protein drinks, and bottled water to put in the fridge in the room.

The first time we took a trip I took everything but the kitchen sink.
    That was 14 years ago.
We have learned to pack quickly and efficiently.
We travel as a family ALOT and the less we take the more enjoyable it is for all of us.
I know ya'll are having a great time...I bet there are NO lines.
SIGH...WE LOVE DISNEY...GO have PIZZA on the BOARDWALK..YUMMY!

    xoxo,
    A
