and had 30 WHOLE seconds to post!
Let's see....
Oh Yeah-
So I get on the plane is Guangzhou, fly to Narita-Japan(LOVE, BTW)
then to LAX!
LAX computers CLEARED OUR FLIGHT INFO and I , along with 150 others had to sit on the plane on the runway for 1 hour while our info was put back into the computer before we could leave the ground!
Get to Dallas/Fort Worth--Plane to Mississippi has left--No more flights--the baby and I spend the night in TX. No biggy..go there ALL THE TIME! We love Texas!
6 am Thursday morning we get on a plane for Jackson and touch down 1 hour later.
Adam was a champ.
Let everyone love and smooch on him and recognized his Daddy and clapped when he saw him.
That made Stacy feel GOOOOOOD!
Breakfast the next morning was Chicken Congee and butterbeans.
As you can see....he liked it....actually EVERYONE liked it.
It is a new staple around here.
The girls rolled in a few days later and we all started getting ready for our week long Riding camp!
Riley Cat had a birthday and of course..we had a party!
Guess who loves some birthday cake????
We had our Rodeo for the camp students on Saturday night.
This week we are resting...I am going to recover from my China trip..since I did not get to do it last week.
I am also going to take this week to grieve the loss of my Grandmother.
3 weeks before we left for China, I went into the recoding studio and cut some of my Memaw's favorite songs and a message to her.
I knew that I could not call her( like I did last time) and wanted her to hear my voice(which I inherited from her) while she was gone.
I had a feeling that she would not be there when I got home.
She passed while we were flying from LAX to China, and I have been in denial for the last 3 weeks..
I have to deal with it but I have the feeling that it ain't gonna be pretty.
Thank you all for your prayers and the cool comments while we were gone.
It meant the world to us.
I will post more pics soon.
I have to get the rodeo pics together.
They are cool!
Love ya'll
A

ReplyDeletei am sorry to hear of your delays getting back to Mississippi, but glad you made it back safe and sound. also glad to read you took it in stride! and how could you have visited TX without stopping by to see us? okay, i realize you were in dallas/FW, so i will let you off the hook... this time! :P
i am so sorry to read about the loss of your grandmother. i have yet to lose a grandparent and can only guess that it has to be ROUGH. especially as you were on your way to bring home the newest addition to your family -- one new life is brought to your family as another draws to a a close. talk about lots of emotions! you are in our thoughts and prayers. i am sure your grandmother treasured the recording. you'll never regret doing that! what a blessing it was to her, i'm sure!
HUGS,
rach

ReplyDeleteA, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your grandmother. Very hard to process when you're not there and when you have such a life changing event going on. Congee and butterbeans? (giggle) Does it taste better if you are wearing cowboy boots?
ReplyDeleteI am staying off the computer (mostly) for the summer but I had to come over here and see you!! I am SO SO sorry about your grandmother. That is a very hard loss, but she will be there to greet you when its time to go. That thought makes me feel better about mine not being here to rave about all the things I do that she would like.
ReplyDeleteTHe baby is so adorable and I think you are AMAZING ghow you do everything you do. I wish I had a tenth of your energy. John says you should all come to napa and come by and stay with us for a night or two! If we can ever make it back to my grandmothers in Oxford, I am calling you up!!
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Adam is a cutie patootie girl!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe that I couldn't get to your blog???!!! I remembered that it was "the love bus", but I always clicked to it from your Happy Hippie blog-which isn't there anymore. Your profile wasn't public, either. Then sweet Sara/Sofa had you in her sidebar! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to catch up on the postings since Adam came home and see how you've been doing the adjusting. Beautifully, it looks like!
So sorry about your grandmother. Whew.
