The kids roped today and me
well...I played with my camera.
Hannah doesn't really like to rope.
She does, however , enjoy the "cow punching".
Her new nickname is CHUTE GIRL!

We call her Granny and we just love her to death.
The kids were all smiles.
The sun was shining and everyone was feeling good.
It felt like Spring.
Just a great day.

ReplyDeleteThis brings back tons of memories! My dh is a former team roper. We had a huge arena, held ropings every weekend ... and then life took over ;-) And ya gotta have somebody critique the runs! Oh, and I love the boots and shorts, but the headband makes the outfit!!

We refer to "Cow Punchin' " as being in charge of the cows for the ropers or cutters or what-ever.
Also when you are out in the "open" bringing them in for taggin' or moving them from pasture to pasture.
We basically use it as a "catch all" phrase.
Not real sure what other people use it for...Maybe I should GOOGLE it too. ;)

Such great shots and those kids are amazing, Unc rick looks like a guy right out of the movies. Love what you are doing with that camera,, now you will have to start posting them on from Flikr so you can blow them up! haha
